I'm Chris Batt

I took up painting in September 1998 when joining an adult education beginner’s class in West Sussex. I didn't study art at school, so it was an opportunity to try something creative and I have never looked back.

 

Watercolour is my preferred medium but I also venture into the exciting world of mixed media which I find extremely exhilarating after the formality of watercolour.

​

My paintings hang in a number of private collections around the world.

 

Painting and sketching has enabled me to meet people who also have an interest in art and going out sketching with a view to producing a painting when returning home, including the memories of a great day out, is a great way to spend those winter days.

 

I am a member of several art groups, including The Attic Art Club, Association of Sussex Artists, The Adventurers Art Club,  Weald of Sussex and Post Office and BT Art Club at which I exhibit.
